The concept of the Internet has evolved quite strongly, on this occasion there were and still are different opinions, disputes. As the availability of the Internet for public and commercial structures increases, the number of INTERNET providers and consumers increases. That is, the Internet as a source of information and mass media is gaining popularity.
All this has a positive impact on the formation of competition among journalists, news agencies, trading companies and firms.
But now consumer discontent is caused by such problems as the decrease in the speed of the Internet, the inability to use the Internet even on time payment of bills. So how should the consumer behave in this matter?
A citizen living in the city of Urgench, who was haunted by this problem and lost his peace of mind, contacted the territorial office on the helpline.
As it turned out, the citizen appealed to the Khorezm branch of Uzbektelecom about a broken Internet service. Therefore, they ask to make a recalculation for the non-working days of the Internet. The problem of the citizen, whose appeal remained unanswered, was studied by the staff of the Khorezm Regional Territorial Administration of the Antitrust Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The study found that in accordance with the relevant articles of the Consumer Protection Act, the consumer is recalculated for non-working days of Internet services.
To the attention of consumers!
Uzbekistan's Consumer Protection Act establishes the following.
- The executor is required to perform the work (to render a service) on time, volume and quality, established by the rules of performance of certain types of work (service delivery) or by contract.
- In the event of late entry of the executor into the performance of the contract, or if it becomes apparent that the contract is not implemented within the specified time frame, the consumer has the right to refuse the contract for the performance of works, services and claim compensation for the damages caused.
